As of October 1st, 2016; participation in Nevada’s ELT Program is now
required for any lenders who finance more than 27 vehicles annually.
This means that if you need to place a lien on a Nevada title you must
sign-up with a 3rd-party vendor that interfaces with NV ELT.
Nevada’s Electronic Lien and Title Program officially launched in September 2015 and was divided into 3 phases.

- Phase 1: In the first year, lenders are not required by the state to enroll in the ELT Program. Participation is optional and “Paper Titles Only” as a method of business is still available.
- Phase 2: In year 2, participation is now required for any lender that finances over 27 vehicles in 12 months. This is the current phase.
- Phase 3: Projected for implementation in the fall of 2017; participation in Nevada ELT will be Mandatory for all lenders.
